This is one of Salt Lake’s most exclusive neighborhoods due to the price range of the homes. This is an older area where the original homes were built in the 50’s and 60’s, however many of them have gone through extensive remodels and updates, or even teardowns and rebuilds.
Salt Lake City’s Oak Hills/St Mary’s neighborhood lies above Foothill Boulevard, on the east end of the valley. Nestled high up into the mountain foothills, many homes have beautiful views of the valley below. This neighborhood provides prime access to outdoor recreations like biking and hiking. St. Mary’s is a also close to numerous attractions such as the Hogle Zoo, Red Butte Garden (they have a fabulous summer concert series), Foothill Village shopping Center which is home to the famous Red Butte Café and finally, the University of Utah. If you like golfing, Bonneville Golf Course is a phenomenal course right in the heart of St. Mary’s. This neighborhood is only 10 minutes to downtown Salt Lake City, and only 15 minutes to the Salt Lake international airport. The average sold price for 2015 is $458,537 and the high sale in the past calendar year sold for $2,200,000. The schools here also belong to the Salt Lake School District.
